Her inquisitive mind and natural commitment to research have resulted in several publications including abstracts, book chapters, review articles, and original basic science and clinical research in major peer-reviewed journals starting in college and continuing through her cardiology fellowship.
She was invited to Mayo Clinic in 2000 to receive advanced training in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging in contrast echocardiography. This is built on the foundation of her 3 years of training in nuclear, angiographic and electrophysiological imaging at Henry Ford Health System prior to that.
She is a natural-born teacher who can translate complex ideas into simplistic and basic terms. This skill has been developed and nurtured for over 30 years. Her teaching history dates back to tutoring in high school and college to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and other medical professionals.
The combination of all of these experiences translates into a doctor who is very knowledgeable, inquisitive, compassionate, able to keep up with the current research, translate that complex information in an understandable way to her patients and perform a variety of complex, non-invasive procedures with a high level of skill and expertise.
